When local radio legend, Adam 'BarRat' Barratt told his listeners he was "over beer" and needed a new refreshing, quintessentially Sunshine Coast drink, we knew we had just the solution!


Through 6 weeks of on-air fan feedback and collaboration, The Spirit of BarRat was born and launched by BarRat and his co-host Heidi Latcham at the Sunshine Coast Beer and Cider festival.


A sweet grassy herbaceous spirit distilled from Maroochy River sugarcane sourced locally on the Sunshine Coast, then freshly juiced and wild-fermented at our distillery. A small amount of natural sugarcane concentrate is then added to the spirit post-distillation to form the perfect base for a refreshing cocktail!

In a shaker, muddle three 1/8th segments of locally grown lime, add a generous handful of ice and 30ML of The Spirit of BarRat. 


Shake to impress your friends, and empty into a short glass. For a longer drink in a tall glass add your choice of mixer. BarRat loves his with 60ML of coconut water and mint leaves.


Close your eyes and taste what the Sunny Coast feels like.
